4 Reasons Why You Are Not Successful

Do you feel like you have reached a dead end when it comes to driving on the road to success? If so, there may be something that you are not be doing right. Now I’m not saying that the road to success is at all quick and easy to navigate, trust me I’m right there with you trying to get there too. There is definitely something going on that could be preventing you from working towards your full potential. If this is your struggle, I have listed below are 4 reasons why you have not gained the success that you are looking for in life.

You Worry About Others Instead of Focusing On Yourself

Worrying about someone else instead of focusing on yourself is doing what for you exactly? NOT A DARN THING! Stop worrying about someone else’s success and focus on yours instead. At the end of the day if they are not helping you pay bills, living with you, or trying to make a life with you then guess what? THEY DON’T MATTER AND THEY PROBABLY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU! That person’s life and success are not yours and unless they decide to partner up with you to help you reach your goals, there is absolutely no reason to try and keep up with them. As I wrote in a previous post, trying to keep up with the Jones’s will do nothing good for you in the long run. Your success will come in due time as long as you focus on the task at hand and mind your business!

You Haven’t Matured

If you are in your late 20’s to early 30’s still dropping it like it’s hot in someone’s club every night knowing darn well you have to be up early in the morning for work, sorry to say but you have not matured yet. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going out with your friends every once in a while, but every night? Come on! When does it all stop for you? At that point in your life, you should be focusing on what you need to do to get to the next step in life. Whether you are looking to build a family, seeking a different career path, or heck even build an entire empire, the only way to do that is to do better and let go of that lifestyle. Instead of wasting your money on watered down drinks, why not use it to invest in yourself instead? An investment can definitely go a long way especially if you take the time to research and see what your options are. Whether you are looking to buy into stocks or open up a business, if you play the game right those investments that you made for yourself can eventually earn you the success that you are looking for and deserve!

You’re Not Focused

Stop getting distracted by trivial things around you that don’t matter! You can’t be successful if you are easily distracted by outside influences. Let the gossip, social media, and foolishness go because remember, we got goals to meet and money to make! Organization and time management are both key when it comes to focusing on the task at hand. In order to get what you want out of life, sometimes you have to make sacrifices, which includes taking time out of your day to figure out a plan. Once you have everything figured out, be sure to make this your number one priority and keep at it until you get what you are looking for.

You Have No “Game Plan”

If you don’t have a game plan, then what are you doing?! I mean you could “wing” it but you may not always get the results that you are looking for. Coming up with a game plan can be done in 3 SIMPLE steps which include:

  • Writing down your goals and ideas in a journal
  • Do research to see what your options are
  • Once you feel confident in yourself and have gathered all the information that you need, EXECUTE IT!

After you execute your plan, the only thing to do next is to sit back and relax. The process may be slow starting at first but eventually you’ll start seeing things happening. Patience is key and rushing into things, as stated above, can often times lead to a less than desired result.

Only you can define what success is whether it’s figuring out how to boost your income or something personal. Most of us seek success in life but we often lack the drive and motivation to get there. If there is something that you truly want out of life, don’t just sit there and let life pass you by! None of us are getting any older so that’s why it is important to step out of your comfort zone, get your head in the game, challenge yourself and just DO IT!

Sacrifices and focus. I 100% agree. Success doesn’t happen through osmosis. It is intentional and a decision that we make on a daily basis. Great read.

Resonates with me. I’m so not focused. I find that having a game plan keeps me focused.

I struggle with comparing myself to others, it is so easy for me to worry and stress… even over the things I cannot control. And you’re right, that doesn’t get anyone anywhere.
