Life Lessons With Jazzy: You Cant Change The Past

Wouldn’t it be great to have a remote that allows you to travel back in time? Any mistake that was made in the past could be erased within just one click of a button! That embarrassing thing that happened will literally be erased from the past and no one will remember it.

“Why did I say that..?”

Why did I do that..?

“I could’ve..”

All of these phrases are thoughts that may constantly pop up in our head whenever we think about past actions. If this is you, don’t be so hard on yourself. Mistakes happen for a reason and it is not at all healthy to have a mindset like this. You said what you said or did what you did for a reason and it may or may not have had negative consequences. In order to move forward, you must learn from your past mistakes and view them as teachable moments. Live in the present and let go of the past. Nothing in the past can be changed and that is an unfortunate fact of life. The next time you say something out of emotion or do something that leads to a negative outcome, take the time to reflect on why you said it or did it and what you can do to fix it. DO BETTER and THINK before you say or do. DON’T DO IT if your gut is telling you that the outcome of the situation will be negative. Our intuition is a hell of a thing and listening to it can often keep you out of unwanted situations. Isn’t it amazing how the mind works?
