Long week? If so it may be time for a self care day! After a long week of work (or school) you deserve to treat yourself! Your mental health comes first and what better way to take care of yourself than to do the things enjoy?!
Not sure what to do with yourself? I’m the self care queen! Let me help you out!
They don’t call it retail therapy for nothing! If you feel like you need to add a few more pieces to your wardrobe…DO IT! Get out and go to your favorite store. Get that outfit that you want and buy it. If you find a sale, even better! When you look your best, you feel your best. Hello confidence!!
Stressed? The best thing to do is to exersize that stress away whether running outside or getting it at the gym. Not only will your body thank you but you mind will as well. When you excersise, you brain releases feel good chemicals called endorphins. This wonderful chemical will keep you in a good mood after working out and provide you with a natural high to last for quite a while.
Have a Relaxing Day At Home
Home is truly where the heart is and this is the best place to be. Why spend money at the spa when you can recreate the experience at home? In order to recreate it, here are some things that you can do:
- Take a nice hot bath or shower and pamper yourself with your favorite scents and lotions (I highly recommend the Dr. Teals Eucalyptis and Spearmint line, that stuff smells heavenly!!)
- Pour yourself a glass of wine to get a nice buzz going.
- Put on your favorite movie or show and just relax on the couch
Yessss!!! This one right here is my personal favorite way to “self care”. If you are like me and enjoy new scenery, the best thing to do is go out and travel to new places. Life is too short to stay stuck in the same area. Go out and see the sights that the world has to offer. If you are worried about money, don’t be! No matter what town you go to, there will always be something inexpensive or free to do there! Never limit yourself to just one place. Sometimes it is necessary to get away from your hometown for a few days in order to gain a sense of peace.
