
Good evening everyone! I should be asleep right now, it’s 1:30 in the morning, however I can’t because good ol’ anxiety. Today has definitely been rough and I can’t wait to get my 3 day weekend started! Don’t you just love it when you’re trying to get a good nights rest, however you can’t because your brain won’t shut up? Yeah I hate it too. In order to get that good nights sleep that I deserve after a long day at work, here’s what I do to ease my mind.
- Listen to music– When I can’t sleep, sometimes it helps to put on some relaxing music such as jazz, r&b or lo-fi. As soon as I hear that piano playing I can feel myself drifting off to Snoozeville.
- Have a nice glass of wine– A nice glass of wine can help put your mind at ease and drown out some of those negative thoughts.
- Write out your thoughts– Don’t just let them linger in your mind. Utilize your blog or journal as a place to vent instead of just dwelling on any negative thoughts you might have.
- Read a good book: Who doesn’t love a good adventure?! Unwind with that glass of wine in one hand and your favorite book in the other and I bet you’ll forget about all of your problems.
